Copper Wire Drawing Machine

Our LHD large-drawing and LHT medium-drawing machines produce copper conductor wire from rod. We match the drawing range to your inlet and finished-wire diameters, with continuous annealing where required and reel or coil take-up for the downstream process.

Key Features

• Large- and medium-drawing ranges cover different inlet, outlet and reduction duties.
• Drawing-pass arrangement is matched to the required area reduction and wire quality.
• Continuous annealing can be integrated for applications that require controlled ductility and conductivity.
• Wire accumulation buffers the drawing process from the selected take-up system.
• Digital control coordinates line speed, annealing duty and package handling.

Equipment Composition

The unit consists of:

• Pay-off stand
• Wire drawing main machine
• Continuous annealing device
• Wire storage device
• Double-reel take-up machine (or coil take-up machine)
• Rolling head die-piercing machine
• Steam generator
• Electrical control system

What Determines Drawing Performance

The required reduction from incoming rod to finished wire determines the drawing-pass arrangement. Copper grade, inlet condition, outlet diameter, die schedule and lubrication then influence the practical drawing speed. Continuous annealing and reel or coil take-up are selected separately to suit the finished-wire specification and downstream process.

The listed models show our reference machine ranges. We confirm the operating duty for the required wire and package, including how drawing, annealing where required, and collection work together.

Suitable Feedstock

Copper rod, oxygen-free copper rod and compatible copper-alloy rod with a defined diameter, surface condition and incoming package.

Typical Applications

Electrical conductor, wire and cable, and communication-cable production where the drawing and optional annealing duty are specified together.

Selecting a Copper Wire Drawing Machine

Tell us the copper rod you will draw and the finished wire you need. If the annealing or take-up arrangement is not yet decided, we can review it with you. The detailed selection covers copper grade, inlet and outlet diameters, wire tolerance, speed, reel or coil package, changeover method and downstream process, followed by power, line direction and installation space.

From Wire Specification to Machine Selection

In our proposal, we identify the drawing range, pass arrangement, annealing option, take-up and principal utilities. We confirm final performance against the finished-wire specification rather than maximum speed alone.
