Aluminum Wire Drawing Machine
Our LHD series draws aluminum and aluminum-alloy rod into conductor wire. The line combines pay-off, continuous drawing, wire accumulation and reel or coil take-up, with the drawing model selected for your incoming rod and finished-wire requirements.
Key Features
• The pass arrangement is selected from the inlet diameter, finished wire and required reduction schedule.
• Wire accumulation separates short take-up events from the continuous drawing process.
• Double-reel take-up supports reel packages; coil take-up is available for a different downstream handling route.
• Die-threading equipment supports setup of the selected pass schedule.
• The control system coordinates drawing speed and take-up for the chosen package.
Equipment Composition
The unit consists of:
• Pay-off stand
• Wire drawing main machine
• Wire storage device
• Double-reel take-up machine or coil take-up machine
• Rolling-head die-threading machine
• Electrical control system

The values above describe the listed models. We confirm the alloy, incoming rod condition, finished-wire tolerance, line direction and take-up package before final configuration.
How to Use the Model Range
Select the drawing model from the actual inlet and outlet diameters. Nine-, eleven- and thirteen-pass arrangements cover different reduction and speed requirements; alloy strength, reduction per pass, die schedule, lubrication and package handling determine the practical operating duty.
The two parameter tables bring together the drawing range and machine data for comparison. This aluminum drawing range does not include the continuous-annealing equipment used on some copper drawing routes, so annealing should not be assumed from a copper-machine specification.
Suitable Feedstock
Aluminum and compatible aluminum-alloy rod within the listed inlet range. We confirm the alloy, temper, surface condition and dimensional variation before final machine selection.
Typical Applications
Aluminum conductor wire, wire and cable production, and alloy-wire duties that fall within the confirmed reduction and package range.
Selecting an Aluminum Wire Drawing Machine
Start with the aluminum rod you will use and the finished-wire size you need. We can help compare drawing models and take-up options. The technical review confirms alloy grade, rod condition, inlet and outlet diameters, wire tolerance and operating speed, then the reel or coil package, line direction, power and installation space. These details determine the pass arrangement, main drive and take-up.
From Wire Duty to Technical Proposal
In our proposal, we identify the suitable LHD model, reduction schedule, take-up and agreed interfaces. We confirm final speed and power for the alloy and finished-wire duty.
