HG Smart Equipment Receives SMM Lead and Zinc Supplier Award

HG Smart Equipment has received the 2024 SMM Lead and Zinc Cup quality supplier award for industry equipment. The recognition is connected to our continuing work with lead and zinc producers and to the equipment required between molten-metal handling, casting, rolling and finished-product collection.

Equipment developed around the production route

Lead and zinc projects place particular demands on process control, material handling, operator protection and maintainability. A machine must fit the temperature range, product form and production rhythm of the wider plant. Our engineering work therefore begins with the customer’s feedstock and finished product, followed by capacity, layout, utilities and the responsibilities assigned to each supplier.

Depending on the application, the scope may include ingot casting and stacking equipment, lead strip processing, rolling equipment or auxiliary handling systems. Mechanical design and controls are developed together so that transfer points, line speeds, interlocks and maintenance access are resolved before manufacture. For retrofit projects, we also review the dimensions and operating logic of equipment that will remain in service.
