HG Smart Equipment at wire & Tube 2026 in Düsseldorf

Our team exhibited at wire & Tube 2026 in Düsseldorf from 13 to 17 April, meeting producers, engineering companies and industry partners from a wide range of markets. The exhibition gave us a useful setting for detailed discussions about copper rolling mills, continuous casting and rolling lines, and the practical decisions behind new 8 mm copper rod projects.

Conversations started with the production requirement

Visitors rarely begin with a machine name alone. Most discussions at our booth started with the material to be processed, the finished rod specification, the required output and the conditions at the intended plant. From there, our engineers could explain how furnace selection, casting section, rolling arrangement, cooling and collection influence one another in a complete line.

Existing producers also raised questions about upgrades. These included improving coordination between older line sections, replacing rolling equipment while retaining usable auxiliaries, adapting to a different feedstock route and planning spare-parts support for long-term operation. Such conversations are valuable because they connect equipment design with the operating experience and constraints of a real factory.

Turning exhibition discussions into engineering work

After an initial meeting, the next useful step is to exchange project inputs rather than move directly to a standard proposal. Plant drawings, utility conditions, material specifications, desired product range and production targets allow us to identify the main interfaces and compare suitable configurations. This produces a clearer technical conversation and helps both sides understand which items belong within the equipment supply.

International projects also require attention to destination standards, electrical requirements, documentation, shipping limits and the support available during installation and commissioning. Addressing these points early is particularly important when equipment will be integrated with locally supplied furnaces, cooling systems or downstream machinery.
